Motivate Yourself to Get Fit!

As you may be aware I have a new template so i thought i would kick start the 'new look' with motivation towards a 'new body' ... Here I am going to share some tips on how to motivate yourself to get fit, and to keep up a fitness routine up until summer!

Tip #1 Find some websites or fitness blogs which inspire you to go out and do some exercise or to cook up a delicious and healthy meal. Just scrolling through the archive can motivate you to go for a run or do a quick ab workout. Save some pictures and make your favourite your screensaver to really catch your attention every day. Some of my favourites are:

Tip #2 Make a fitness inspiration board for your bedroom or kitchen. Print out any pictures or quotes from the internet or make your own and stick them all down in a colourful collage which will catch your eye every time you walk past it. It will act as a little reminder to you to keep going on your fitness journey.



Tip #3 Invest in some good quality workout gear. Whether its some colourful nike trainers or a snazzy new pair of weights treating yourself to something new will always inspire you to put what you've paid for to good use. I find that having a new workout outfit really makes me want to go for a run or to the gym.


Tip #4 Make a planner for your meals and workouts of the week in a handy notebook. This really helps me to stay on top of what I'm supposed to be doing, as well as giving me a fixed plan to stick to. I also find that once I've written something down it's hard to not do it.


Tip #5 This is similar to the notebook, but the night before I plan to workout or run I lay out my clothes. That way as soon as I wake up and every time I walk past, I see the clothes on the floor and I feel compelled to go and workout.

  1. Great tips! It can be so hard to motivate to motivate yourself to eat healthy/do exercise sometimes, I tend to go in cycles of having loads of motivation and having none at all... currently trying to push myself to do some exercise everyday!
    I find reading inspiration blogs & posts like this helps :)
